We will talk about the design of the Audi A1 Sportback, the space it offers to its occupants and we will end the test with our general assessment of the car.

Exterior design

This urban of At just 3,9 metres long, it has everything you need to cruise through the city, with a very sporty exterior design thanks to the S-Line exterior pack. The front end is highlighted by the headlights, which feature LED technology for the daytime running lights, and the bumpers, which have striking air intakes on the sides, typical of the sporty finish.

The two-tone roof gives it a personal touch, It is an optional element available in the Audi A1 range and a good way to personalise the car. While laterally it stands out for the 18-inch alloy wheels (optional) and the side skirts, again marking the sportiness.

At the rear, there are the optional LED headlights and, once again, the sporty look of the bumpers, with a finish that is different from the conventional version, as can be seen in the lower part of the rear bumper.

Outwardly it has the essence of sportiness, That is to say, despite its diesel engine of only 90 HP, on the outside it seems to have a lot more hidden under the hood.

Interior design, the practicality of four doors

The space in the back is still tight, for two adults who are not very tall, only two can go (five seats can be ordered), but now at least access to the rear seats is much more comfortable and the legroom is relatively large (compared to other city cars).

The interior can be customized, The edges of the air vents, the central armrest and the door handles can all be personalised to the customer’s taste, as well as the interior upholstery. Once again, this is a detail worth considering for those who do not want to have a car that is exactly the same as another, thanks to the Audi A1’s personalisation options.

The driving position is low and comfortable, although there is not much space. If we make many road trips, it has a central armrest, an indispensable element. The seats, made of leather in our unit, had a hard but comfortable padding, although they were not heated (it is an extra).

Holes and trunk

In the section hollow There are several cup holders in the centre console where you can leave a mobile phone or some keys, as well as a specific space for some coins. The glove compartments in the front doors were small but deep.

Ultimately, a premium urban car with its own style and an economical engine, although with a somewhat high price for the space it offers.
