2026 MG Majestor Vs Toyota Fortuner Legender: Exterior Design, Dimensions, And Styling Fully Compared

MG has just unveiled the all-new Majestor, which grabs eyes with its strong and dominating stance, combined with futuristic styling. The SUV was previously showcased in the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 and has been gaining popularity ever since, primarily to see if it can really outshine the Japanese SUV in terms of sales.
The Toyota Fortuner is not just a name; it’s a brand in itself. It needs no introduction. Every child in India has once dreamt of owning this car in their lifetime. The Legender is a sportier version of the normal Fortuner with slightly different styling and a few more add-ons. Sure, it does miss out on modern gimmicks, but it does what it’s built for, leaving a statement wherever you arrive!
That being said, how well do both cars slack up to one another, and which one of these looks the best? Let’s find that out!
Dimensions
The 2026 MG Majestor and the Toyota Fortuner Legender both fall under the premium full-size SUV segment, but they differ a lot in size. To find out which one is the better one, let’s have a detailed look at their dimensions:

From the table above, it is clearly evident that the new MG Majestor is bigger in all dimensions, and that too by an enormous margin. The Majestor offers more length, width, height, and wheelbase, which makes for a bigger footprint overall. A big size on the outside also translates to more space in all three rows, which helps improve the spacious cabin experience.
MG Majestor Wins!
Front
Starting with the front fascia of the new MG Majestor first, it has a very dominating stance with sporty touches, and a bodyline that speaks ruggedness. At the centre is a massive gloss-black grille and a raised, flat bonnet. It gets a split headlight setup with slim LED DRLs integrated in the grille and on the bonnet edges. The headlights are vertically stacked in the front bumper. Moving further down the bumper, it also houses a new skid plate finished in satin silver and thick cladding for added road presence.

The front design of the Toyota Fortuner Legender is equally dominating as well, but it carries more elegance and old-school charm with it. It gets LED projector headlights, which are connected by a slim grille with gloss-black surrounds and the big Toyota badge in the centre. The front bumper houses the foglights and a large air dam in the centre with a honeycomb pattern, which also has gloss-black surrounds and a silver skid-plate at the bottom. The edges of the bumper house the LED turn indicators. All of this combined gives the Fortuner Legender an impressive and strong stance.

Side
From the side, the silhouette of the Majestor is identical to its younger sibling, the Gloster, but bigger in dimensions. The side profile resembles that of a bulky, full-size SUV. The Majestor gets chunky body claddings all around, including the wheel arches as well. It rides on dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels which lend it a classy stance . To further add to the sporty look of the car, it gets a black treatment for certain elements like the roof rails, door handles, and ORVMs.

The side profile of the Toyota Fortuner Legender has a rather simplistic design with fewer cuts and creases. The boxy ladder-on-frame silhouette gives it a commanding stance, which it is famous for, and large windows for an airy cabin. Adding further to the look is a blacked-out roof, chrome door handles, chrome window lining, and roof rails. The Fortuner Legender also rides on smaller dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels..

Rear
The rear end of the MG Majestor is boxy, but it sports a sleek design with futuristic touches, which creates an equally aggressive appearance. The tailgate has a flat design which houses the connected LED taillamp cluster, an integrated rear spoiler, and the massive ‘MAJESTOR’ badging that attracts a lot of attention. The rear bumper also gets a sporty treatment with twin exhaust pipes and a chunky skid plate.

Moving at the rear end of the Fortuner Legender, Toyota has nailed it over here as well. The design does not look very busy; it is simplistic yet very appealing and elegant. It gets LED taillights, which are connected by a gloss-black chrome bar on the tailgate with the ‘FORTUNER’ badging. The rear bumper is not very chunky, and it houses the rear foglights, a gloss-black diffuser, and sharp design elements on the edges. Adding further to the sporty appeal of the car is an integrated rear spoiler and a shark fin antenna.

ZigSays…
Both the MG Majestor and the Toyota Fortuner Legender target a similar set of audience, but they express it through very different design philosophies. The Majestor has a very rugged styling, which is enhanced with sharper edges and a more aggressive stance. These large proportions are complemented by sporty design cues, giving it a fresh presence that looks ready for both rough terrains and, at the same time, handles family carrying duties.

The Toyota Fortuner Legender, on the other hand, has a more dominating yet sophisticated approach towards styling. Its bold stance, muscular proportions, and old-school design elements are aimed at maximising road presence while also offering a premium appeal. The Fortuner has been in the Indian market for over two decades now, winning the trust of customers and being their first choice. It is hard to believe that this generation itself has completed almost 10 years now, but it still looks timeless. Rather than futuristic LED gimmicks, the Legender focuses on offering a more authentic ‘built-to-last’ type of experience.

To conclude, the choice comes down to whether you prefer the Majestor’s new rugged and bold design evolution or the Fortuner’s dominating and elegant image.
