BMW announced the M2 Turbo Design Edition — a special edition with hand-painted graphics and carbon fiber trims that pays tribute to the legendary 1974-1975 BMW 2002 turbo.

The 2026 M2 Turbo Design Edition is offered as standard with seats finished in premium leather with subtle red, blue, and violet accents that echo the classic Motorsport stripes. As an option, customers can also go for M Carbon bucket seats in matching Black Vernasca Leather with M Color Highlights.

The special edition will further be identified by a distinctive plaque ahead of the shifter, featuring “turbo” over the M tricolor stripe background, tying the modern cabin to the 1974 original. It also gets exclusive “M2 Turbo” door sill plates.

The 2026 M2 Turbo Design Edition is finished in an exclusive Alpine White paint — a color chosen to mirror the original 1974 BMW 2002 turbo’s classic look. It is highlighted by hand-painted BMW Motorsport stripes around the hood, trunk, and along the carbon roof — an echo of the vintage 2002 turbo livery.

The sports car rides on standard 19-inch front / 20-inch rear M dual-spoke forged wheels finished in black, but it can also be had with the optional M Performance Wheels Style 1000M in a Matte Gold Bronze finish.

The special edition will further be identified by its M Performance carbon fiber rear spoiler that adds aerodynamic stability and visual aggression, and the M carbon fiber roof panel with integrated tricolor stripes that improves rigidity and lowers the center of gravity.
